Medicare Planning

Medicare comes with a dizzying number of choices and deadlines. We simplify the decision by answering three questions: what the coverage types do, which is right for you, and when to enroll. That is how you get Medicare right and avoid the “but no one ever told me that” moments. Medicare planning is part of the service we provide to our investment and financial planning clients.

We have a team of licensed health and life insurance advisors ready to help you navigate the ever-changing Medicare environment. As an independent insurance agency, we are authorized to offer competitive plans from several leading carriers.

We understand the stress and anxiety involved in trying to select the best Medicare coverage, and not wanting to make the “wrong” decision when it comes to health coverage. Our goal is to simplify our client’s decision by answering three main questions so they get Medicare “right”:

  • What do the various types of Medicare cover and how do they work?
  • What is the right coverage? Just Original Medicare? A and B plus drug coverage? Original Medicare and a Supplement? What about Medicare Advantage? There are several different types of coverage, and what’s best for one person, may not be the best for another.
  • What is the right time to enroll? There are a dizzying number of enrollment periods and if missed, you can be denied for preexisting health conditions and face permanent late enrollment penalties.

By educating our clients, they are able to make informed decisions concerning their Medicare coverage and avoid the “but, no one ever told me that!” moments.

We offer several insurance options including Medicare supplement, Medicare Advantage, Prescription Drug, Vision and Dental, and Final Expense plans, as well as Annuities.

Common questions

Most people enroll during the seven-month window around their 65th birthday. If you're still covered by an employer plan, timing differs. Missing your window can trigger permanent late-enrollment penalties, so it's worth confirming your dates early.

A Medicare Supplement (Medigap) pairs with Original Medicare to cover out-of-pocket costs and lets you use any provider that accepts Medicare. Medicare Advantage bundles coverage through a private plan, often with networks and extra benefits. The right choice depends on your health, doctors, and budget.
